History:

Here's the original canon wiki.

Although life in Alternia is a constant struggle to survive, those unfortunate enough to be designated heirs to the throne find themselves especially endangered - the empress doesn't take kindly to threats to her reign. Even trolls with monstruous eldritch lusii such as Rhozia's can't escape unscathed, if they survive at all.

When she was very young she was nearly assassinated by agents sent by the Condesce to terminate another up and coming threat, and while she managed to survive with the help of her lusus she didn't escape completely unharmed. The agents had cut off her face fins with the intention of bringing them back to their ship as a trophy of slaughtering an heiress, an action which left Rhozia with scars on her face and a serious chip on her shoulder regarding the current empress and her trappings of rule.

For several years Rhozia grows up uneventfully for a troll; she never leaves the water (land is for chumps) and forces the lower-blooded seadwelling trolls to fulfill the purpose of their caste and slaughter lusii in order to feed her own and keep her from destroying the world with her voice. She remains isolated from much of the world, spending the majority of her time deep down in the ocean communing with her lusus and reading books on dark magic.

Her lusus whispers to her and tells her that she'll have her chance for revenge soon enough, that she has the capability to destroy everything that's ever done her wrong. Rhozia believes it and does everything she can to prepare for the day she takes her place on the throne by force, even going so far as to blackmail Daevit (whose identity as a mutant she'd discovered) into carrying out various tasks on land for her.

Rhozia has big plans for the empire, and most of them involve a lot of blood.

Personality:

Rhozia is in many ways very similar to her human counterpart. She has all of the core traits and interests - however, her upbringing has twisted them in ways completely different from Rose Lalonde.

Much like Rose, Rhozia is an incredibly intelligent girl who can ramble on in dense language if she doesn't check herself. However unlike Rose she's rather arrogant about her intellect and looks down upon people who can't keep up with her; Rhozia believes in merit rather than caste, but feels that even with this modified way of classifying people she's still at the top of the heap. Although she's never forthright about this bias (although she has no trouble telling someone when she believes they're an idiot) the feeling of smug superiority permeates a large amount of her conversations.

Rhozia's lusus required constant feeding in order to remain docile and relatively complacent, and this along with her precarious position as an eventual rival to the empress spurred Rhozia to develop a penchant for manipulating people far beyond what Rose had ever displayed. She defines people first and foremost by how useful they could be to her either now or in the future upon meeting them, and has no trouble with forceful coercions or blackmail in order to achieve her goals. In her eyes the ends justify the means, and the things she needs done are more than worth the strong-arming she needs to do on occasion.

Trolls are, by nature, a violent and unpredictable species; the further up the hemospectrum a troll is the more unbalanced they typically are. Rhozia's position as a seadweller has amplified her natural destructive nature considerably - whereas Rose had self-set boundaries even as she was tearing up her planet in the Medium, Rhozia sees no reason to limit herself in such a way. She believes in leaving nothing but scorched earth behind her as well as brutalizing the people that stand in her way. Rhozia is not a girl who forgives easily (if at all) and will hold a grudge much longer than is healthy.

Underneath the multitude of defense mechanisms and mental walls thrown up, however, are a good deal of the softer traits Rose possesses. Although she is a girl who is fiercely independent and prides herself on relying on no one but herself for survival, she finds to her horror that she might have actually grown attached to the few trolls who she communicates with. Whatever she might assert to the contrary, the fact is that despite her overwhelming cynicism, when Rhozia feels loyal to someone it is an unshakeable bond.

These feelings of affection and friendship are alien to her, as she doesn't make a habit of practicing them and instead actively tramples down on them. Uncomfortable with her emotions and unwilling to acknowledge that she might actually consider the others friends, she simply ignores the matter entirely rather than confront it. However, she's unable to fully quash her sensitive side; her attachment to her friends emerges as a monstrous protectiveness towards them - any perceived threats are dealt with swiftly and brutally, although Rhozia takes great pains to ensure that no one ever finds that she had a hand in the matter.

Feelings, after all, are weakness. And an heiress is never weak.

Abilities & physical limitations: Rhozia is a tyrian-blooded troll, a distinction which grants her heightened strength and endurance as compared to a human. She also possesses gills which allow her to breathe underwater, as well as a healthy knowledge of dark magic.

Unfortunately because of her extended chat sessions with what basically constitutes an aquatic eldritch monster, Rhozia's mind is more open to dark influences such as the horrorterrors. She has also never been on dry land before in her life and will probably have some trouble adapting to it.

Appearance: Right here. Rhozia appears almost identical to Kanaya's daydream troll version of Rose, albeit with two jagged scars on her face where her face fins should be. She's rather slight for a troll, but nobody really wants to point out that she's basically made of angles instead of curves.

Notable AU differences from canon, if applicable:

Basically this is a species swap - the humans in Homestuck are trolls and on earth the trolls are now humans. I know, it's so original.

But this has changed Rhozia from her human self in subtle ways, mostly enhancing her more negative qualities and making her a generally more vicious person. Rhozia has suffered at the hands of others from practically the beginning of her life and reacted to it by becoming hateful of the system which facilitated it, particularly the figurehead of said system. She wants to make those who have wronged her hurt as much (if not more) as she did, and she wants to do it herself.

Because of this she trusts absolutely no one and prizes her independence above all else, much more so than Rose ever did. She's willing to abuse every system available to her in order to achieve her goals and come out on top, such as using her position at the top of the hemospectrum to force people to do her bidding despite believing the caste system is a bunch of bullshit. Even the people who manage to worm their way into her affections are treated as tools - sometimes even more so, as Rhozia attempts to prove to herself that she doesn't actually care for them more than anyone else. Dependence on anything is a terrifying concept for her, and she'll do whatever she can to fool herself into believing she relies on no one.

In a nutshell, Rhozia is much more brutal and much less emotionally attuned than Rose is. She doesn't understand that some of her actions are horrible and refuses to address any issues that arise from her feelings. The good qualities that she naturally possesses are stifled because she feels that they're a liability rather than an asset, but she isn't perfect (as much she wishes she was) and so they still leak through the cracks.

Strife Specibus: Needlekind
Prototyping: A fish that was unfortunate enough to be wandering by during her entry - it's extremely similar to a viperfish.
Title: Empress of Change
In-game abilities: Basically she's able to overrule (because empress, get it) things through force of will and change them into something she wants. At higher levels she'd also be able to change things regarding other people, although this could be combated by whoever she's using it on if they have more will than she does or her concentration is broken.

Planet: Land of Aurora and Waves

A planet covered almost entirely in a frigid arctic ocean, save for a few glaciers which drift aimlessly on the currents. These glaciers are difficult to find as LOAAW is in a constant state of night, lit up only by the auroras threading through the sky. Sedna, the denizen, lurks deep in the sea and violently attacks anything that dares enter the waters; this has effectively trapped the seal consorts on the glaciers, and combined with the fact that Sedna has killed or captured all other sea life means that the seals are slowly starving. Sedna frequently whips the ocean into a frenzy and assaults the glaciers with massive waves, robbing even the 'land' on the planet of total safety.

RP Sample: Here is a thread! I use Rozia instead of Rhozia in memes but this is otherwise the same AU I'm apping in.
